About 50 people have been coming to the meetings

It is usual to have a presentation on some aspect of interest
The club now has a video projector to make presentations more enjoyable

The Kelowna club shares with the Vernon club
in field trips and a rock workshop in Winfield


1120 Rock Club Scholarship
One $500 scholarship is available to assist with tuition and books to a first year student
enrolled at an accredited university, college or technical school
in the province of British Columbia, for the 2016 – 2017 year.

BCLS Scholarships


The 1120 Rock Club is a membership group of children, youth, adults and seniors sharing interests in rocks, gems, fossils, lapidary activities, minerals, mining and marketing.

Expect to see a display of rocks, free door prizes and a 50/50 draw

The monthly meeting consists of an introduction of new people,
a short period of administrative activities,
usually a presentation from an interesting speaker
and a social time with story swapping and refreshments.

Many members bring samples and examples of their lapidary interests

Annual membership fees
Indiviual: $20
Family: $25 (1 or 2 adults ~ children ~ grandchildren)

Club membership includes membersip in
the British Columbia Lapidary Society and
the Gem and Mineral Federation of Canada
(insurance while involved in club, BCLS and GMFC activities)
